Customer Service / Office Support

We are currently seeking a full-time customer service officer with relevant experience and qualifications. An ideal candidate must enjoy working in a fast-paced working environment, have experience in freight-forwarding industry and excellent interpersonal, customer service skills, positive attitude and good work ethics.  The position is from Monday to Friday (8 30 am- 5pm).  You will be working within a close knit team of Sales and Customer Services and reports to Sales Manager.

The position entails providing support to the Sales team with professional and efficient communication in assisting with clients enquiries and with office support.  

  • Providing comprehensive customer service to clients
  • Negotiate price with the suppliers
  • Quote preparation (air, ocean, off-shore shipment, 3PL, domestic/interstate transport)
  • Support and work with our dynamic sales team
  • Maintaining existing customers
  • Dealing with complaints and enquiries from clients
  • Assisting with reception and answering phone calls
  • Office support duties
  • Other tasks requested by managers and the company 

Skills and experience

The ideal candidate must have experience and knowledge about freight forwarding industry and excellent people skills. 

Essential 

  • Knowledge and 1-2 years experience in operations within the freight forwarding industry
  • Good Microsoft applications proficiency
  • Attention to detail with high level of accuracy
  • Excellent communications (both in verbal and  written communications)
  • Excellent People Skills and Customer Service
  • Positive attitude and diplomacy
  • Good work ethics
  • Attention to details 
  • Ability to work under pressure 

Optional

  • Knowledge and experience in Cargowise EDI system
